Obituary of Sybil Lenore Bleeks

Bleeks, Sybil L. (nee Jeacle)

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls District Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on January 20, 2023 in her 89th year.  Beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Donald Bleeks; loving and devoted mother to Kevin, Audra (Terry) Martin and the late Barton; and proud grandmother of Kaitlin and Perry.  She will be sadly missed by her sister Lois (late John) Newell, her extended family, and special friend of family Rosemarie Abrecht.  Sybil will also be fondly remembered by her many friends and neighbours, many of whom she considered family.  She is predeceased by her parents Stewart and May (nee Cowan) Jeacle, sister Lillian Jeacle, and daughter-in-law Nancy.  Sybil’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ryan, Dr. Kuchinad and the staff of the Smiths Falls District Hospital for their care and compassion for Sybil.  Family and friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service to celebrate her wonderful life in the Chapel at 12 o’clock.  Private interment will take place at Munster Union Cemetery in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, Sybil’s family wishes memorial donations be made to Trinity United Church, Smiths Falls.
