Obituary of Kevin Mordy

Passed suddenly at home in Smiths Falls on January 19, 2023 in his 59th year. Predeceased by his parents Meredith and Ida Mordy (nee Caldwell), his brother Brian Mordy, and sister Freda Morgan (nee Baker). Kevin leaves behind his daughters Amanda and Britney, as well as his grandson Lincoln. He will be deeply missed by his surviving siblings Jean (Ted), Tony (Betty), Greg (Carol), Dale (Marlyn), Blaine, and Brenda (Clarence); as well as by his sister-in-law Donna and brother-in-law Don. He is fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, as well as friends and extended family. Kevin loved music and playing guitar, and would often be found picking out Smoke on the Water. He was a handy man who worked on trucks and cars passionately; he’d rip them apart and put them back together again better than when they’d rolled off the lot. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home (112 Beckwith St. N.) on Friday January 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
