Obituary of Dale Alfred David Eastman
Passed peacefully at his home in Lombardy with his beloved wife by his side on January 26, 2023 at the age of 65. Born on July 16, 1957 in Russell, Ontario, Dale was predeceased by his grandmother Nellie Eastman, his parents Maynard Eastman and Shirley Gamble, and by his sister Penny. He leaves behind his wife Deborah Chenoweth McVean at the lake front house they made a home for the last 6 years of Dale’s life. He will be deeply missed by his stepson Daniel McVean, his stepmother Judy Eastman, his aunt and uncle Ella and Peter Sorby, his siblings George (Heather), Douglas (Irene), Lee (Carole), John and Kathleen Marshall (Dave); and by his many nieces and nephews and his many friends and neighbours. Dale was lucky enough to be passionate about his career as a long-haul trucker, he enjoyed the open road and making pit stops to see loved ones along the way. When he was forced to give up his AZ license due to illness, it was one of the hardest challenges he faced. With his health declining, he and Deb chose to make a dying dream a reality: life on the lake, with a boat to fish in, and a few good reels to bring them in with. Dale spent his last years in peace and with love. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
