Obituary of Andy Emon

Emon, Andrew (Andy) Roy

Andrew (Andy) Roy Emon, of Perth, passed away on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 in the Perth hospital at the age of 78 years, surrounded by the love of his family. Andy is survived by his loving wife Connie (King), with whom he shared 50 wonderful years and his four daughters who he adored, Allison (Travis) Harvey, Lesley (Shawn) Brideau, Rebecca Emon (Moose Landers) and Colleen (Kevin) Brigden. He was a devoted and doting Papa, Dada & Grandpa Andy to Andi and Layla Harvey, Novella and Brielle Brideau, Carson (Makayla), Blair, Randy (Alexa) and Miranda Brigden. Andy was excited and looking forward to becoming a Great Grandpa this summer.

Andy was born to Ida (Crawford) and Roy Emon of Calabogie, Ontario on December 4th, 1944. He was the 11th of 14 children and he will be fondly remembered by his remaining brothers and best friends, Victor (Anna Mary) and Eric (late Shirley) Emon and his sisters Thelma (late Tony) Senack and Catherine (Clifford) Johnston. We are comforted to know he will be reunited with his siblings who went before him, Betty, William, Franklin, Ray, Lawrence, Loretta, Keith, Earl and Janet. Andy will be remembered with much fondness by his mother-in-law, Marjorie (late Cecil) King, late Curt (Celine), Clint (Laurie), Barry (Bonnie) King and Susan (Chris) Whyte. Andy will be fondly remembered by his many nephews, nieces, friends and members of the Roy Emon Hunting Gang.

Andy was always quick with a story and very proud to share of his upbringing on Emon Road in Calabogie where his childhood home still stands. He spent weekends, reunions and hunting seasons there over the years. If not in Calabogie Andy could be found sitting by his camper at one of his most favourite spots along the Clyde River with his family and friends.

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Friday, February 17th, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday February 18th, 2023 at 10:30 A.M.  followed by interment in Hopetown Cemetery.

In remembrance of Andy, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
