Obituary of Lottie Estella Hainey

Passed away peacefully at Rosebridge Manor, Easton’s Corners, Ontario on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the age of 94.  Lottie is predeceased by her beloved husband Alphonsus Hainey, her parents William and Etta (nee Brown) Alexander. She is also predeceased by her siblings Wilfred (Jeanette), Bert (Myrtle), Bob, and Lesley Alexander, Jean (Lee) Burgess and Mary (Ernie) Willoughby, and also her nephew Walter Willoughby and niece Nancy Purcell.  She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Bev as well as her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Lottie’s family would like to thank Rosebridge Manor for their outstanding and compassionate care of Lottie while she was living there. Lottie was born in Mountain, Ontario and was proud to spend her working career with CN. Lottie moved to Toronto, where she enjoyed many of her best years in Toronto making and nurturing many great friendships. She was active with her church community and was a member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Toronto.  Lottie will be remembered as being a loyal and caring friend to everyone she knew and loved. There will be a luncheon and gathering celebrating Lottie’s wonderful life following the scheduled Sunday church service, at her home church of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, which will be followed by Lottie's Funeral Service also on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1 p.m. Private interment will take place at Highland Hills Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
