Obituary of Cora Collison
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our loving mother Cora Collison on April 5, 2023 in her 84th year. Born in Ottawa on December 27, 1938 to her predeceased parents George and Viola Cox. Predeceased by her loving husbands Bert Moulton and Dave Collison; her son Patrick, her brothers Danny Pepper and Doug Cox, her brothers-in-law Doug Pepper, Rodney Masters, and Bert Manneck. She leaves behind her children Addy Soikie, Vangie Moulton (Brent Buffan), and Edward (Kristina) Moulton; her grandchildren Julie, Kent, Elizabeth, and Kelsey; and her great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Velda Masters, Bev Pepper, Marilyn Pepper (Carl), Josephine Manneck, and sister-in-law Linda Pepper; as well as by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Cora was known for her love of music, whether that was square dancing to country songs, or raising her hands and voice in praise during church services. She enjoyed knitting, baking, and especially loved animals. Those wishing to pay their respects may gather at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls (112 Beckwith Street N) on Friday April 14, 2023 at 9:30am. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) in Cora’s memory.
There will be a special Memorial Reception held at the Calvary Bible Church (15 Beech Street, Smiths Falls) in honour of Cora's memory on Sunday April 30, 2023 from 12:00 pm. to 2:00 p.m. All are welcome!
