Donna my heart aches at the news of Arnie's promotion to glory. I was privileged to work alongside him at the Fire station while doing Safe Communities program in Perth. Always my rescurer (I suffer from shortness!) Always my mentor Always my friend. Arnie frequently visited me at the Salvation Army Thrift Store to share good will and always a laugh. Donna thank you for sharing Arnie over the years. He will be missed.

Donna, Kim and family, sorry for your loss. Arnie was a great friend to dad, especially supportive in his last days, visiting him frequently. That’s something you don’t forget. I grew up just a block away from the Nixon family. We tore up the neighborhood every day after school until the lights came on. .I have so many memories it is hard to translate them. I would run into Arnie and there was always something to talk about. I always valued his take on the quality of the corn each year. Another old pal gone.

Arnie Nixon gave a great service to the town. It was my privilege to work with him both on the fire department and later as maintenance at the police service. I enjoyed talking to Arnie because he always made me laugh. The world is a lot sadder now that he is gone. May God look after you now as your work here on earth is done.
