Obituary of Christopher Martin Tyler

Christopher Martin Tyler, age 83, passed away peacefully at Tomkins House Hospice in Penetanguishene, Ontario on June 19th, 2023.

Chris moved from England to Canada in 1991 and lived with his sister, Lynn Carrick, and family. Chris later met and married Etta Neil, who has since passed.

Father to Keith Tyler (Dagmara), and Neil (Vicky) Tyler and grandfather to Kathryn, Sarah, Benjamin, James and Jake. Beloved Uncle to Patricia (Daniel) Kaiser, Christina (Nathan) Farrows, Dawn Tyler and Karl Tyler, and Great Uncle to Aaron, Eli, Amara, Aidan, Lyndon and Sam.

Brother to David Wilson and predeceased by brother John (Doreen) Tyler and sister Lynn (Robert) Carrick.  Cousin to Ann and Paul Steed and Sandra Ellingham.

Throughout his life in England and Canada, Chris was a devoted Scout Leader, and in 2013 he was recognized and awarded for 55 years in Scouting.

Funeral services will take place at Maple Vale Cemetery in Smiths Falls on Tuesday, June 27  at 3 p.m.  Flowers may be sent to Blair & Son Funeral Home in Smiths Falls and donations may be made to Scouts Canada or Hospice Huronia Tomkins House in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Chris received exceptional care at the Tomkins House and this volunteer-run hospice would truly benefit from and appreciate any donation.
