My heartfelt condolences to Eva, Sherry, Laurie and family. I remember my childhood visits with your family that took place often when I was young. It had been years since Neil had seen me but one year at the Perth Fair as soon as he saw me he knew my name and always had a big hug for me, it was a yearly thing to make sure I got my hug and a little chat in. Neil Curran was a much better than average horseman . He was an excellent driver/trainer of standardbred race horses . With a twinkle in his eye and an impish grin Neil made many friends within the horse racing industry . Actually , Neil was a mentor for his younger brother Ross, who should be in the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame . I always enjoyed speaking with Neil . Sincere condolences to the entire Curran Family , especially my longtime friend Rick ,who is a nephew of Neil's .
