Jean passed away peacefully in the Perth hospital on Thursday, June 7th, 2023 at the age of 61 years. She was a contributing lifelong active community member. A ray of sunshine, always pleasant, sweet, caring and friendly. Jean was a long-time employee at Sunflower Bakeshop and enjoyed all the after work get togethers. She volunteered at many of the community events including Stewart Park Festival. Jean spent time volunteering to read to people, do crafts, books sales, always giving back to her community. Living in her community she was an independent lady. She attended a number of groups to which she has a vast network of friends. Jean spent time in a warm family
She had many friends and travelled many places with her friend Lisa and Community Services. The Toronto Maple Leafs were her favourite hockey team, she was convinced they were going to win this year, maybe next year? Jean had a gift of music; she loved to sing and could sing every word, she especially loved singing karaoke. Her memory and recall of details made anyone who she met feel special. Jean would enquire about your family and pets and remember every detail.
Jean lived an independent life before moving in with John and Karen, where she became an integral part of their warm family. Recently Jean moved to Davidson House Family where she brought special energy and light to the home.
She will be genuinely and fondly remembered and sadly missed. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. at Davidson House, 257 Wayside Drive, Perth, Ontario K7H 3C8
