Our condolences to Pat and the Foster & Nagle families. We are shocked and saddened by Arlene's passing and can only imagine your feelings of loss for a life taken so young and so quickly. Arlene was a key manager at Brownlee's Metro for many years. Trained by her sister Angie and taking advantage of her banking background, Arlene was a quick study and was always willing to take on other responsibilities. Small in stature, Arlene had a way of effectively articulating that she should never be underestimated. Somehow, it did not shock that she would spend weekends and holidays riding her bike with her gang of likeminded ladies. Smart, confident and versatile she got shit done and did not suffer fools. She seldom backed down from her opinion on almost any subject, which I often asked for and almost always agreed with.

I was terribly shocked to hear of her departure. She was a former supervisor of mine at Metro, and as I later discovered, was also the step-daughter of my late great-uncle Earl. She was a good woman and I'm saddened to learn that she has left too soon. Rest her beloved soul.

Pat, i am sincerely sorry for your loss. Arlene, was just one of those very amazing people that the world desperately needs more of. I’m saddened and so very upset.
