Obituary of William Reginald Jones

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Reginald Jones at his home in Smiths Falls Ontario on June 29, 2023 with his loving wife Georgina by his side.

William “Bill” Reginald Jones was born in Brigus Newfoundland on August 29, 1935. His family were always by his side to support and comfort him throughout his illness. Bill was a banker for most of his working life and although he lived in Ontario he was always a Newfoundlander at heart.

Left to mourn are his wife Georgina (nee Pike); children Gina Kristan Ploughman, Lisa Ferguson (Patrick), Vanessa Shipowick (David), Carolyn Stevenson, Kenneth Ploughman, and William “Billy” Ploughman; as well as his precious 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by his large circle of friends and relatives.

Cremation has taken place and interment will be held in St Johns Newfoundland at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
