Noreen Eleta Lavier (Jackson)

After a long battle with cancer Noreen in her 83rd year passed peacefully at home, with family by her side. Born on August 30, 1940 in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Beloved wife of 63 years to Larry Lavier. Loving mother of David, Jamie, Jock, and her predeceased daughter Barb. A mother figure and best friend to Stephanie Lavier. Proud "Nan" of Curtis (Emily), Hayley (Matt), Brittany (Darcy), Chase, Chelsea, Kayley, Dusty (Robby-Lynn), Denver, Maddie, Carson, Macey, and Kiara. Loving "Great Nan" to Deakin, Declyn, Layla, Max, Brantley, Vivianne, Bentlee, Braxton, Elsie, and Crue. Noreen will be sadly missed by her sister Valery Kay (Gary), sisters-in-law Eva and Susan Jackson, and her brother-in-law Carl Lavier (Cari). Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Georgina Jackson (Kirkham); her brothers Francis (Nelly), Kenny (Betty), Wayne, and Carl Jackson; as well as by her brother-in-law Elmer Lavier and sister-in-law Nancy Lavier. Noreen was a long-time employee of Hershey Canada for 25 years (1980 - 2005). She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching her grandchildren play sports, going to yard sales, and listening to bagpipes. The family would like to send a big thank you to all the PSWs, staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital, and Nurse Lynea for the amazing care to Noreen in her final weeks. We appreciate and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Blair & Son Funeral Home (112 Beckwith St. N.) on Saturday July 22, 2023. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Noreen donations to CNIB, Arthritis Society Canada, or Crohn's & Colitis Canada would be greatly appreciated.
