The family of Verna Wheeler are sad to announce that she passed away peacefully in Fairview Manor, Almonte on Tuesday August 2nd, 2023 at the age of 99 years, with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl John Wheeler. Verna was the mother of John (Brenda), June (Eddie), Vernon (Judy), Pat (Vic), Doug (Wenda), Julia (John), Sylvia (Norman), Kevin (Joann), Nancy (Brian) and Bill (Valerie). She was the loved grandmother to 29 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.
Verna will be sadly missed by all her extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation for her in the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, on Wednesday August 9th, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the her funeral service in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Crawford Cemetery followed by a reception and sharing of memories in the McDonald’s Corners Agricultural Hall.
In remembrance of Verna, contributions to the Elphin Church or the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation – Perth Site would be appreciated.
