Obituary of Gail Stella Mae Botham

Passed peacefully with family by her side on August 25, 2023 in Smiths Falls at the age of 81. Predeceased by her parents James “Jim” and Marion Craig (nee McCollum), her brother Gary, and sisters-in-law Cathy and Doris. Gail leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years Ronald Botham; children Scott (Penny-Lynn), Heather (Chris); and grandchildren Aimee (Wil), Nik (Sawyer), and Nathan. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Gwen Hart (Geoff), and Glen Craig (Mary Ann); as well as by her brothers-in-law Roy (Mary Joan), Floyd (Marjorie), John (Ann) and sister-in-law Ruth (Jim); as well as by her many nieces, nephews, and extended families. The family would like to thank all of the medical staff who have cared for Gail over the years, and give a special thank you to the staff at the Smiths Falls Hospital who cared for her in her last days. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls Chapel (112 Beckwith St. N.) on Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday August 31, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Blair & Son Reception Centre. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Kidney Foundation, or the Arthritis Society Canada.
