Obituary of Riena Jacoba Hamilton
January 26, 1924 - August 23, 2023

Riena passed away peacefully, at the Perth Hospital on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at the age of 99.  Predeceased by her parents Cornelius Wilhelmus Hendrinus and Jacoba Maria Siebes (Mackay), her husband James Thomas Hamilton Sr., her son James Thomas Hamilton Jr., her daughter Lillian May Brown and grandsons Jeremy Hamilton,  Jodi Richmond and great-grandson Glendon Murphy. Survived by children Gordon Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Kim (Ross) Richmond; as well as by her grandchildren Leigh Brown, Christopher Hamilton, Jeffery Hamilton, Greg Richmond, Ashley Hamilton, Genevieve Monsour, Jamie Richmond, Jordan Richmond, Rebecca Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Marleigh, Madison, Jeffery, Lacey, Payton, Mitchell, Daniel, William, Maggie, Hayden, Kallia, Conrad, Owen, Grayson, Milla, Daxton, Paul, Finley, Adalynn, Thomas and multiple great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Riena worked at Glenayr Knit in Lanark for over 40 years. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Friends and family may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home – Perth on Wednesday August 30, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp Quality – Eastern Ontario, or to The Royal Canadian Legion – Perth or Lanark Branches would be greatly appreciated by the family.
