Obituary of Annita Dalgliesh

March 30, 1938 - September  8, 2023

Annita Dalgliesh passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge in Perth, Ont., with her loving family by her side.

She was a devoted mother to Deborah Folkes (J. Ross Deceased), Stephen Bland (Yani), Susan Welsby (Paul), and a very proud Nana to Andrew, Nicholas and Sarah Folkes.  

Annita will be fondly remembered by everyone who ever met her and enjoyed her boundless energy, stylish hats and fun-loving spirit.

Born in London, England, Annita emigrated to Canada in 1957. She raised her family in the west end of Toronto where she enjoyed a long career at The Old Mill Restaurant.

Annita's seemingly unlimited love also extended to all animals, which she affectionately referred to as "God's creatures." These included the many family pets she nurtured over the years.

The family extends a special thank you to those who helped care for Annita, including the amazing doctors, nurses and support staff at Lanark Lodge.

As per Annita's wishes, a private family graveside service will be held. In remembrance and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Canadian Diabetes Association or any animal rescue of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
