Obituary of Lila Beatrice Powers

Lila entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by the love and support of her daughters, at Lanark Lodge on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the age of 95. Predeceased by her loving husband, Art.  Cherished mother of Donna (Ian) Bristow of Toronto, Diane (Jim) Fredenburgh of Brantford and Karen (Wally) Kusters of Oakville.   Proud Nan of Rob (Jaclyn), David (Emily), Jen (Nick), Katie, Stephanie and Andrew (Taylor).  Great Nanny to Avery, Zach and Abby.  Lila is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Florence (nee Baker) Cross.  She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Kelly, brother-in-law, Don Mayhew and sisters-in-law, Mary Cross and Barb Cross. Lila is also predeceased by her brothers, Lloyd, Jack, Glenn and Larry and her sisters, Leita, Freda and Lois, her brothers-in-law, George Kelly, Clarence Kerfoot and Ken Brown.  Friends may pay their respects at St. John the Evangelist Church in Smiths Falls on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 10:30am until 12:30pm.  Funeral Service will follow at St. John’s Church at 1:00pm.  Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to St. John’s Church Altar Guild or Lanark Lodge would be appreciated.
