Obituary of Douglas James Shaw
The Shaw family is saddened to announce the death of their father, Douglas James Shaw on October 16th, 2023 at the age of 94.
Born June 24, 1929 he was predeceased by his wife and partner Muriel (nee Code) of 54 years. Loving father of Robert (Susan), Jane (Joe), and Marie; Grandfather to Tyler (Nancy), Jason (Jackie), Kyle (Melanie) and Samantha (Michael); Great Grandfather to Maggie, Marcie,
Brylee, Drea, Deakan, Camden and Adelaide.
Douglas was predeceased by his parents Homer and Hazel (nee Haig) sister Audrey and brother Willard.
He lived on his farm in Drummond Centre for his entire life. He loved animals especially horses and dogs. Saskatchewan always held a very special place in his heart.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 from 9:30am until the time of his funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions to Drummond Centre Cemetery or The CHEO Foundation – Operating Room would be greatly appreciated.
