Mary Lou I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I always looked on him as a real mentor. My first experience with Paul was in 1999 when we first moved to Perth. I read his excellent article on Growing Garlic and carried that with me and followed his instructions to grow great garlic year after year. After joining Master Gardeners I worked closely with Paul on a number of events and he backed me up at my first course presentation at Algonquin College.
Paul was always eager and gungho had a great sense of humour and was a pleasure to me around. I will really miss him. Dale

Mary Lou, I was sorry to read of Paul's passing in the paper today. I remember Paul so well from my Farmer's Market days. You and Paul were such bright lights for the Market and I am sure that he will be missed by many. I loved going out to your farm and seeing your gardens and everything you and he did there. I will say a prayer for his passage to the next world. Please pass my condolences on to the rest of the family.

Dear Auntie Mary Lou
Michael and I are so sorry to hear of Uncle Paul's passing. Just know that we are thinking of you and sending you our love. Michael only had the pleasure of meeting Uncle Paul a few times, but he truly admired and liked him. Me, I adored Uncle Paul. For many years he was my Uncle 'Colonel' Paul. There was a warmth and kindness about Uncle Paul that I remember even when I was a child. He was kind and approachable, and he had a way of making you feel special. When you talked to him, he listened. He made you feel like you were the only person in the room. He always told me he was proud of me, and because I looked up to him and valued his opinion, I felt proud of myself. I know I speak for many people when I say that my life is richer for knowing and loving Uncle Paul. I am so sorry we will not be at the funeral on Saturday. Michael's mother is visiting from Ottawa this weekend. I will send up a pray in honor of my Uncle Paul, and I will be thinking of you and the whole family. Much love, Kelly
