Jack passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 13th, 2023 with Patricia by his side in Lanark Lifestyles Retirement Home, Perth in his 100th year. He was born April 6th, 1924 in Picton Ontario, son of the late Gerald and Gertrude Ackerman and brother of the late Carl (Ruth) Ackerman. He leaves behind his ever loving wife of 48 years, Patricia (Tracey) formerly of Ottawa. Jack was the loving father by previous marriage of Rosemary (David Ahrens), Jacquelyn (late Michael Brede), James Ackerman (Martina), Lorraine (Douglas Driscoll), seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and nephew Larry Ackerman (Lynn). He will be fondly remembered by his many other nieces and nephews. Upon discharge from the R.C.A.F. Jack spent his career in the petroleum, real estate and auto industries. He spent 25 wonderful years with Pat in Bradenton Florida enjoying golf and many fun times with fun-loving friends. They also enjoyed several exciting trips and cruises both near and far. Jack and Pat moved to Perth from Mississippi Lake in 2003 and loved every minute of it!
Family and friends are invited to join for a Memorial Gathering in the Family Centre of the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth on Wednesday February 14th, 2024 (Valentine’s Day) from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. A Sharing of Memories will be held at 2:15 P.M.
Those wishing are asked to make memorial donations to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation MRI Project. Pat and family wish to thank the nurses and staff of Lanark Lifestyles for their care and support during his residence.
