We are deeply sadden by the news of Joan's passing. She used sit with my Mom, Sal, and cheer on the kids at hockey and baseball games. Loved how she was alway calm and patient even when Del would call her 'Slim'. Our condolences from the Henderson Family!

To the Harper family, we extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences. Joan was one of my McLean Street Moms - always watching out for all the neighborhood children. It was a very sad day when they moved to the country on Dufferin Road. It required a long bike ride as opposed to walking across the street. I remember the year that Rattler ate the Christmas turkey that was thawing in the basement - Joan was not amuzed. I was always envious of Beth as she had the best jobs - Dairy Queen and the Big Cheese, probably because they reminded me of my favourite food groups. Joan had a wonderful smile and an infectious giggle. May your memories be a blessing.
