With God’s good grace at the age of 82, James Andrew “Jim” Caswell was called home on Saturday December 30th, 2023. Jim was predeceased by his wife Diane, nephew Todd Stanzel and parents Melville and Effie (Flintoft) Caswell. He will be sadly missed by his family; his son Michael (Krista) Caswell and step-daughter Martina; sisters Gwen (Cecil) Forrest and Anne (late Bob) Stanzel; sister-in-law Claire (late Ronnie) Caswell; brothers-in-law Doug and Dave Craig; numerous nieces, nephews, their families and many good friends. Jim retired as a typesetter and lifetime member of the Federal Public Service. He had a strong passion for sports; he played hockey until his early 70’s and loved Nascar races. Jim loved the outdoors, never missed a daily walk and tending to the pasture and cattle on his beloved farm land. He was always a gentleman who will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Saturday January 6th, 2024 from 9:00 Am until 10:15 A.M. A service to honour his life will be held in the chapel at 10:30 followed by reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Jim will be laid to rest in Drummond Centre Cemetery in the spring. In remembrance, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
