Cousin Georgia - I’m so saddened to learn about your loss. I loved visiting you from being a little girl and so happy you got to meet my little boys last year. You never forgot to send me a birthday card and Christmas greetings. I hope you have reunited with my mom and dad and your own beloved mother. You’ll be missed.

To the family and friends of Georgia,
I'm very saddened to hear of the passing of Geogia!
I was a high school friend and classmate, our parents were friends, and we attended Westminster Presbyterian Sunday School & Church at the same time; unfortunately, we hadn't seen each other since then.
May you be comforted by the support and love of family and friends, and by fond memories shared with Georgia over the years!
Don Cooper, Kingston, Ont.

I was honoured to know and spend time with Georgia in many capacities. As a chiropractor, I served as a professional member on the College of Chiropractors of Ontario with Georgia for many years. As a practicing chiropractor in her home town we had lots to talk about and formed a unique friendship. Georgia had a golden spirit and was willing to take on tasks that many more able bodied people would have shied away from. Her sense of adventure and her strength of character were clearly displayed as evidenced in her actions. Georgia made me a better person as her unwavering commitment to a cause that she believed in inspired me to dig deeper in everything I pursued. Rest in Peace Georgia.

Dearest Georgia you will be dearly missed. I remember many fun halloween nights spent at your house when I was young, wonderful christmas mornings with those tasty christmas buns, our regular email chats back and forth in recent years, and meeting for dinner at the DoubleTree Hotel during your many visits to Toronto with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. May you rest in peace. Love, Zoe

On loving memory of Georgia Allan, a cherished appointed public member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. Georgia's heart for public service shone brightly in her roles on various committees, reflecting her unwavering dedication to ensuring competent and ethical chiropractic care. She loved serving on the Inquiries, Complaints & Reports Committee. In addition, over the years, she served on the Executive Committee, Patient Relations, Discipline, and others. What made her truly stand out was the meticulous preparation she brought to meetings, evident in the multiple questions lovingly penned in the margins of documents. Her thoroughness, thoughtful inquiries, and valuable contributions have left an everlasting imprint on the regulation of chiropractic, emphasizing the paramount importance of the public interest. Personally touched by her unwavering support, I hold dear the memory of Georgia as a beacon of integrity, a guiding force in critical decisions spanning over a decade. I remember one summer when Georgia invited me to lunch while she was attending a provincial Conservative Party Convention in Niagara Falls. She met me at the door of the hotel and on the way to lunch she introduced me to over 20 current and previous conservative party members. They held various posts ranging from past premier’s to those in past cabinet and current chairs of key committees. She was approached by whoever made eye contact with her. There was no doubt she had respect from those individuals she spoke with. I understand she was a past president of her riding association. What stood out was her perseverance in traveling from Smiths Falls for meetings. Georgia’s mobility was impaired, and she utilized a walker for the last few years. She still managed solo travel by train and cabs over that great distance at least monthly and sometimes more often. Thank you, dear Georgia, for your enduring commitment and profound impact on the regulation of chiropractors in Ontario. You made a difference and will be missed.

Georgia and I spent enjoyable times together to travel for her appointments and for her to join our household seasonal events. Georgia will be missed.

Craig and I are so sorry to hear of Georgia’s passing. We have so many memories of Georgia when we lived on Montgomery Place. Georgia and I spent many Saturdays shopping in Smith’s Falls and then having our well deserved coffee break afterwards. She enjoyed watching our sons grow over the years and was always prepared with sweet treats when they popped over to say hello.
We’ll always remember her love for children, local history, politics and friendship.

Georgia served as a public member on the College of Chiropractors of Ontario for many years. Georgia was deligent about attending meetings, was unphased by the quantity of material to review, came prepared, and always participated. Her political background gave her some keen insights. Georgia made friends with the concierge at the Double Tree Inn where she stayed, and enjoyed the cookies and Chinese Food at the restaurant there. So many of us have such fond memories. Rest in Peace Georgia.

'Cousin Georgia' was always fun. A Maple Leaf fan, she always ribbed me about my Montreal Canadiens and in good fun, gave me a 'crying towel' monogrammed with the NHL teams from the 1970's. Georgia was always open to helping; As a student in the early 80's, I interviewed her for my Political Science thesis on the Ontario Budget process as she was a Progressive Conservative riding president - she knew the MPP's and shared background to the government decision-making. It was nice to visit the Smiths Falls Allan family home which was warm with delicious meals from Aunt Lena and fun chats with Uncle Jack & cousin Georgia; she always had a story about the McPhee dental office or local events. Our prayers are with Cousin Georgia.

I knew Georgia through the Taxi, she was an incredibly nice lady.
We had many discussions on our taxi trips.
I was so impressed with her knowledge of local families, don’t think there is a person in Town she didn’t know.
She will be missed.

Saddened to hear of the passing of dear Georgia Allan
I met Georgia on my first of many visits to Canada in 1980 at Blanche Lake near Buckingham and on a good few subsequent visits. We quite often exchanged emails. Her late mother Lena always sent me a letter around about Christmas time with an update of family events.
RIP dear Georgia
