Obituary of Mildred Munro
Peacefully at Perth Community Care Centre with her loving family by her side on Monday, January 8th, 2024, Mildred passed away at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years Willingdon "Welly", and is the treasured mother of Wray (Debbie) and Larry (Joanne). Mildred will be fondly remember by her grandchildren Jennifer (Craig) and Julie. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Ida (nee Pretty) Stead, and by her brothers Frank (Kaye) Stead, Harold (Lilias) Stead, Earl (Dorothy) Stead and Leonard (Helen) Stead. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mildred was a teacher for many years and upon retirement she volunteered with many organizations such as the Lanark Library, Middleville Fair, and Cancer Support Roles. She thoroughly enjoyed volunteering and helping her community in anyway she could.
The family wishes to thank all the staff of Perth Community Care Centre for their support and compassion over the last couple years.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Mildred's memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at 10:00am. In honour of her, memorial contributions to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lanark or the Alzheimer's Society of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville would be greatly appreciated.
