Obituary of Madeleine Jacqueline Leclerc

Madeleine passed away peacefully in KGH hospital, on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the age of 72. She is survived by her brother Andre and wife Elena, her sister Francine Evans, her niece Natalie Rainville (nee Evans) and husband Tom, grand-nieces Stephanie, Brittany and her nephew Mark as well as grand-nephew Tristan and Isiah.   She also leaves behind great-grand nephews and nieces Chase, Rylan, Levi, Alexis, Jackson and Braelynn.  She was predeceased by both her parents Ben and Lucille Leclerc (nee Roy), as well as her sister Lise.  Madeleine was born in Montreal, grew up in Ottawa where she received her education, including receiving her bachelor's degree at the University of Ottawa.  She then moved to Winnipeg where her working career started as grants clerk for the Secretary of State.  She also achieved a teacher’s degree and worked for the Manitoba Teachers’ Association. She loved to write, learn new things, travel, bright colors and lots of Bling.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  A Celebration of Life will take place at the Blair & Son Reception Centre, Smiths Falls in March with a date and time to be announced at a later date.
