Obituary of Wilfrid Lyonnais

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the remarkable age of 97.  Beloved husband and best friend to Bertha (nee Drew), where they would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this coming June. Loving and devoted father of Larry (Lynn), Wayne, Roy (Louise), Stephen (Rachel) Lyonnais and Lorie (Scott) Acheson. He was a cherished grandfather of Todd (Tara), Rob, Amber (Aaron), Joey, Jason, Natasha, Karen, Robbie (Sarah), Derrick (Kristen), Madison (Richard), Sydney (Mason), Mackenzy (Fraser) and Cody.  He will be forever loved and remembered by his 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed by Bertha's entire family, his extended family and friends.  Wilfrid was predeceased by his parents Georges and Georgine (nee Roy) Lyonnais, his brother Amey Lyonnais and his sisters Mary Rose Smith and Yvonne Greenwood. There will be a private graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Canada or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
