Obituary of Robert Clark McCreary

Robert Clark McCreary passed away peacefully in his 94'th year Feb 5;th 2024. Bob was born in his grandmother Clarks house at Rosedale Dec 30 1930. His mother and Bob summered at Rosedale then the farm at Kilmaronck and in 1940 the family moved from Hamilton to the farm. Bob who was used to city schools in Hamilton received grades 7 and 8 at a one room school house where Jenny Garton taught the whole school. In public school and Smiths Falls high school Bob made many of lifelong friends. Bob married Wanda Burnett and within a couple years bought the farm from his parents. He and Wanda developed a very modern and successful dairy operation. Bob remained on the farm the rest of his life. He was predeceased by the love of his life Wanda just over a year ago.

Bob and Wanda raised 4 children, Susan, (Grant Niblock and grandchildren Michelle, Joel and Luke), Tom McCreary, David, (deceased and grandsons Robbie and TJ McCreary), and Jim (Michele and grandsons Cole and Trevor McCreary.) Great grandchildren are Ethan Wells, Rose and Myles Niblock and Logan and Taevin McCreary. Bob is also missed by beloved daughter inlaw Felice

Bob was predeceased by his brother Dr Bruce McCreary and is missed by McCreary nieces and nephews Rick, Janet, Alison and Andrew

Bob had many interests but was keen on keeping the farm improved with the most recent technology. He served for many years on local school boards and planning committees and was very interested in local politics. After semi retirement he and Wanda bought a camper and travelled Canada coast to coast several times.

Bob will be missed by family, friends and nieghbours
