Obituary of Ronald Harold Moyle
Ron Moyle, a generous, kind-hearted man, well known for his wit and humour, passed away unexpectedly mid-morning on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. He was predeceased by his first wife Rita (Barker) Moyle and his second wife Betty Williams and his parents Lillian (Foley) and Arthur Moyle. Ron was the devoted father to William “Bill” (Joy), Barbara (Franz) and Mark (Cynthia) and cherished grandfather to Veronica, Emma, Marion, Devan, Alessa, Morgann, and Whitney and five great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sister Lillian Van Dyk and sister-in-laws Barb Roach and Susan Herbert and all his extended family and friends.
Special thanks to Tracy Lettner whose tsunami of cards kept him engaged and laughing over the last 2 years. Without Tracy, Ron could not have traveled and looked forward to more special events. Frank and Dianne, Peter and Nola who continuously traveled long distances to visit.
The Island Park Residence staff were continuously attentive, thoughtful, and appreciative of his humour; the many residents were inclusive and kind. Many others, too numerous to name, contributed positively to his well-being. The Bridge Street Hospice in Warkworth provided dignity and respect in his last hours. Although Ron always said his family would never be rich, but never be bored, it was the lack of boredom that made them all so very rich.
The Bridge Street Hospice provides free services to those in need when recovering or passing from illness, their warm home-like environment provides soothing comfort to the patient and family. Donations in support of this organization on Ron’s behalf would be greatly appreciated.
Friends are invited to join the family for Ron's memorial service at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Interment and Reception will follow.
