Dorothy was born Dorothy Isabelle Elizabeth Johnston on October 30th, 1923 in Merrickville, Ontario. She was predeceased by her dear husband and best friend Carson James Taylor, her son Gordon Carson Taylor and her dear brother Harold Johnston. Dorothy was the devoted mother of Carole Anne Willette (John) of Frankville Ontario and Wendy Eastaugh of Toronto; cherished grandmother of Gray (Tara), David (Natalie), Kelly (Ian), Rebecca (Stephan) and Suzanne (Wolfgang) and loving GG to great grandchildren Ryan (Laura), Emma, Lucien, Dominic and Tristan. She is survived by sister Mary and husband Fred who were always such a wonderful support and providers of delicious treats. Dorothy is also mourned by sisters-in-law Ruby Leach and Pat Taylor. She had lately resided at Carolina Retirement Home in Perth where she had many friends. Dorothy was a long-standing member of St. James Anglican Church and her positive, happy nature kept her involved in the activities she so enjoyed including swimming, bridge, and spending time with friends and family. She treasured memories of the special years she and her husband Carson spent at their home on Rideau Lake. Dorothy will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West Perth on Saturday May 25th, 2024 for a service in her honour to be held in the chapel at 10:00 A.M. A reception and sharing of memories will follow in the Blair & Son Family Centre.
Memorial gifts may be made to St James Anglican Church in Perth or the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
