Obituary of John Gerald Vanderspank

Vanderspank, John Gerald

Suddenly, on May 25th, 2024, John Gerald Vanderspank of Lanark passed away at the age of 47. Best friend and loving husband of Amy (nee Boal). Proud father of Jack and Petra. Cherished son of John Marie and Geraldine (nee Crober) Vanderspank. Beloved big brother of Amanda (Matt McCready) and uncle to Emma, Abby and Owen. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and numerous friends from school, his farming network, his community, and the parents of his children's friends.

John's love for his family was unmatched, and he found his greatest joy in being a devoted father and husband. He actively participated in his children's lives, cherishing every moment spent with them. His unwavering support and affection created lasting memories that will be cherished by his family forever.

John, a man deeply passionate about farming, devoted himself wholeheartedly to nurturing his farm business and cultivating his crops. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and he constantly sought to enhance his skills. Over the years, he forged a successful career in agricultural sales, culminating in a decade of dedicated service at MacEwen Agricentre. His genuine love for working alongside fellow farmers was evident in his eagerness to both learn from them and offer his assistance.

John leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends were invited to visit with the family at John’s Shop, on Friday, May 31st, 2024, from 11:30am until the time of his memorial service at 1:30pm. A reception will follow.
