Obituary of Susan Margaret Jackson

Susan Margaret Jackson
January 22, 1949 – June 3, 2024

At the Smiths Falls District Hospital on June 3, 2024 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Carl Jackson who predeceased her in 2001. Dearly loved sister of Bill (Donna) Black. Loving mother of Curt Jackson, and Todd (Allison) Jackson. Cherished grandmother of Charlie and Tommy Jackson.

Susan will be remembered for her time working at the Rideau Regional Centre, group homes, and her countless hours spent volunteering at Lanark Animal Welfare Society, which she did tirelessly almost until her passing.

Through her work and volunteering she developed a number of long lasting friendships which are still evident by the numerous messages received detailing the impact she had on her friends.

Susan will be fondly remembered as a lover of animals, a caregiver, a tremendous baker, an avid gardener, lover of Heinz Ketchup, and foremost a special friend and mother who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In remembrance and in keeping with her fondness for animals any memorial donations should be directed to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS).
