Fred passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge August 30th, 2024 at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his wife Berverly (Ferrier) and dear friend and companion of the late Grace Shangraw. He was the devoted and cherished father of Tony (Paula) Michelle (Bob), Darlene (Chuckie) and Kellie (Tommy). Fred was the proud grandfather of Thomas (Julia), Cheyene (Jordan), Sierra (Casey) and Scosha (Kris) and loving great-grandfather (G.G.) to Scarlet and Sadie. Fred was the loving brother of Art (Theresa) and his sister Grace Stoal (Sonny). He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Eleanor “Nellie” (Conlon) Quartermain, brother Carl (Gladys) and sister Margaret (Donnie). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Fred was raised in Glen Tay and started at a young age at Chaplins Dairy delivering milk. He continued his employment at Rideau Regional, Smiths Falls in the early 60’s from there he did factory work in Perth and numerous volunteer services. He became disabled at a young age but continued to volunteer in the community. Freds biggest blessings were his family and friends. He enjoyed being outside in the sun.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John’s Church, Perth on Friday, September 6th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
