Obituary of Jean Schultz
Jean (Margaret) Schultz (nee Whyte) of Ottawa and more recently of Perth, passed on Friday, September 13th, 2024. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Herman, her loving children Laurie and Steve, her dear grandson Benj (Arsenault), and her beloved twin sister Muriel (Turner).
She was a master seamstress, quilter, and crafter, and her genealogy research was published multiple times with the Ontario Genealogical Society. She spent many years working in the offices of Overbrooke and York St Schools and was a lifelong volunteer for various charities including Girl Guides, Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and Victoria's Quilts.
All are invited to attend Jean's graveside ceremony at Pakenham Union Cemetery, 211 Dalkeith St, Pakenham, on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon at St Andrews United Church, 2585 County Rd 29, Pakenham. Please RSVP to jean@whytecottage.com by Saturday, October 5th, 2024. In memory of Jean, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind would be appreciated.
