Obituary of Gerald Nicholas Clarke
Gerald passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and daughter by his side, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, on October 15th, 2024 at the age of 78. He was the beloved husband of Julia for almost 58 years, and the loving father of Dion (Debbie) and Pam (Ray). Gerald was the cherished grandfather of Daryl, Kyle, Tyler, Jessica and Brittany, and the treasured great-grandfather of Charlie. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Roland (Jean), Ross (Betty) and sister Maxine. Gerald was predeceased by his parents Parmanas and Elizabeth, and by his siblings Betty and Sterling. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Gerald was an avid sports enthusiast, playing hockey, baseball and later in life, curling. He loved his family deeply and will be forever remembered in their hearts.
A service to honour Gerald’s life will be held at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at 1:00pm in the chapel. A celebration of life will follow in the Blair & Son Family Reception Centre. In honour of him, memorial contributions to the Canadian Mesothelioma Foundation would be appreciated.
