With heavy hearts the family announces that Brent passed away peacefully at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Brent was the son of George and Anne (Woods) Nichols and the loved father of Bo Brent Nichols. He was the dear brother of Brian (Kathy Gow) Nichols, Bradley (Sonya Closs) Nichols, and Brenda (Grant) Kauffeldt. Brent will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We can’t forget the one girl that stood by his side – his fur baby Misty. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Perth Hospital for their excellent care, compassion and patience. Brent was a kind person with a huge heart, and would help anyone in need if he could. When his health permitted, he loved to go fishing and hunting and enjoy a beer with his buddies. He will be forever missed. Family and friends will gather to honour Brent's life and share memories at the Lanark Legion on Friday November 8th, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Memorial donations to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.) would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
