Obituary of Norman William Daniel Crain

   Crain, Norman William Daniel

Norman William Daniel Crain passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on October 30th, 2024.He was predeceased by his parents Leslie and Georgina (McPherson) Crain and dear brothers Guy Welsh, Archie Crain and Gilbert Crain and sister-in-law Linda (Morrow) Crain. Norman was the loved husband of Sylvia (Wheeler) Crain for 36 years, married June 25 1988.  He will be greatly missed by his children Eric (Laura), Rebecca and Tyler (Rudi) and by his beloved grandchildren Jack, Axle, Wilson and Zoey. Norman was the cherished brother to Valerie (late George), Wilburt (Barb), Donna (Keith Brydges), Roseanne (Fraser Rogers) and Thomas (Tammy) and brother-in-law to Diane Welsh, and Catherine Crain.

He will be sadly missed by all in the extended Crain and Wheeler family including nieces, nephews and many wonderful family and friends.Norman was a proud owner of Crains’ Construction alongside his brothers Archie, Wib and Tom. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to many people whose lives he touched. He loved days spent outside touring the trails on his side by side and enjoyed beautiful days cruising the country roads in his Challenger. 

A funeral service to honour Norman’s life will be held in the chapel of the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth on Wednesday November 6th, 2024 at 3:00 P.M.  Following the service, family and friends will gather to remember Norman and share memories in the McDonalds Corners Agricultural Hall from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.

May his days ahead be spent touring the trails of heaven with the loved ones that have been waiting for him on the other side.
