Obituary of Barry Melvin Trott

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Melvin Trott, 78, of Perth, Ontario, on November 7th, 2024.

Barry was born on January 3rd, 1946, in London, Ontario to Howard and Margaret Trott. Barry married Carol, his wife of 57 years on October 7th, 1967. After graduating from Ryerson University, Barry worked for 34 years as an Engineering Technologist for the Government of Canada in various departments. He retired in 2001, enjoying his retirement at his cottage in Perth that he designed and co-built himself.

Throughout his life, Barry was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs, and enjoyed spending time with his family, including his daughters Lisa Soehner (Kevin), the late Lana LeBlanc (Dave Brown), Lori Mitchell (Steve), and his siblings Sharon Crawford-Mackay, Clarence Trott and Nance Kaspersma (Fred). He was SG (Super Grandpa) to Jadyn (Tim), Jared, Owen, Dillon and Maverick.
