Obituary of Linda Margaret McLeod

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Linda “Linny” McLeod, at her home on November 14, 2024. Linny passed peacefully, with her husband Kurt at her side after a long struggle with Huntington’s Disease.

Linny will be deeply missed by her husband Kurt and his brother Jan, their family in Danmark, as well as her siblings Barbara (Graham), Tom (Diane), Don (Jane), Brian (Michaela), Paul (Shelly), and predeceased by her parents Edward and Thelma (Campbell), brother Rob and sister Heather. She will also be remembered by her childhood friends and neighbours, 18 nephews and nieces, 20 grand nephews and grand nieces, the extended family (the MacLeod Clan), along with her loving PSW caregivers Marilyn and Sarah.

The family would like to thank Kurt, her husband, lifelong partner and primary caregiver for his love and devotion as he cared and advocated for our sister over the almost 30 years of her illness.

Our thanks also go out to 911 Support Services, along with the Blair and Son Funeral Home for their compassionate support.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Huntington Society of Canada or purchases of Amaryllis bulbs from the society would be appreciated. A Celebration of Linny’s Life will be held in 2025.
