Hello my name is Bill Schmidt, I would like send my condolences to the family of Douglas Pegg. My grandfather was very good friends with Norman, Douglases father. In 1958 my grandfather was looking in the local newspaper for a cottage to rent and Norman advertised his cottage on the lake in the local newspaper here in Rochester NY. My grandfather answered the add and the beginnings of a long relationship with Norman was started. I myself am 65 years old and my father is now 85 and we both reminisce about the fun times we had at that cottage. The one thing that was a must when your your stay at the cottage had ended, everyone signed the inside of the kitchen cupboards telling how many fish we caught and what a nice time we had. I always wondered what happened to those doors. I think my father still has the little notes that Norman left for my father and my grandfather when we would first get to the cottage. Every time Norman would come to the cottage my grandfather and Norman would go out fishing for hours. By chance if you have any pictures of the cottage I would love to show them to my father who loves everything about that place. Sorry to about to hear about Douglas. Our sincere condolences to Phebe and Art and families. We just heard today of your Dad's homecoming back in January. We will remember the great visits and meals we had with your parents at both homes back in the late 1990s. We look forward to the day when there will be more separation but will be with our Saviour forever.

Phebe, Art and families- our sincere condolences on the passing of Uncle Douglas. We have many good memories of all the times spent with him and all the relatives especially at Xmas visits and the ski doos and skating.His kindness and care always shown to our mother Lois was something she was truly grateful for .
