Obituary of Margaret Doris Kerr
Kerr, Margaret (née) Buzzell, born in Waterloo, Quebec 1927, passed away peacefully at Smiths Falls Hospital on Monday, January 13, 2025, just one day short of her 98th birthday. Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, George H Reynolds, her second husband, Enoch Kerr, her daughter, Ethel Strokan, parents Delbert and Doris Buzzell, brother Elvin (Phyllis) Buzzell, and sister Ruth (James) Kirkby.
Loving and devoted mother of Doris (John) Baker, Michael Reynolds, George (Christina) Reynolds, Mark (Elaine) Reynolds and step-children, Kathryn (Dan) Cooper, Sharon Kerr, Susan (Larry) Thomason. Cherished and proud grandmother to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Margaret touched the hearts of everyone she met. Generous and kind, she was always there to offer support, wisdom and love. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God. Her devotion to her church and the support she received from Pastor Paul and friends there surely prolonged her life. The many kindnesses of her friends and Superintendant Wayne at Colonel By Condos on Pearl Street were always appreciated. The family also thanks the medical team at Smiths Falls Hospital for their compassionate care over the past several weeks.
All are welcome to pay their respects at Blair and Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10 AM until 12 PM. A service to celebrate Margaret’s life will take place at Bethel Pentecostal Church at 12:30 PM, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.
