Peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, Gordon passed away at the Perth Hospital at the age of 87. Predeceased by his beloved wife Vera, Gordon leaves behind his cherished daughters Dawn Wallbank (Ross Chawsky), Debbie Wallbank (Allan Langvee) and Dyanne Wallbank (Rick Morris). He was a devoted grandfather to Chelsea, Amanda (Daniel), Colton, Jason (Barbara), Erik (Grace), Ryan (Amanda)and Shaun (Caroline) and treasured great-grandfather of Skylar, Jackson, Jane and Logan. He will be deeply missed by his companion of 2 years Cindy Norwood.
Friends are invited to join the family for Gordon's memorial service at St. Paul’s United Church in Perth on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. A celebration of his life will follow in the church hall. In accordance with Gord's wishes, a party in honor of his love for live music and a toast to the man himself will take place in Burlington, Ontario, where he will be laid to rest sometime in May. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital – Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.
