Obituary of Michael "Lee" Lamping

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Lee passed away peacefully at home, January 17, 2025, after a long courageous journey with cancer.  He was much loved husband and best friend of Debbie (nee Leslie).   Lee was a devoted, proud father to Lisa Walsh (Mike), Melinda Billett (Lucas), Philip Lamping (Priscilla) and loving step-father to Corey Noonan (Nancy) and Derek Noonan (Katie).  Cherished Gramps to Beckett, Laura, Casey, Jackson, Michael, Ruby, Logan, Brent, Jordan and Marcus.   

Lee had many careers including the Governor General’s Foot Guards, teaching, M.L Tax Service and for 35 years, he partnered with Debbie in the day to day operation of Echo Tours and Travel. 

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair and Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. Please note In remembrance of Lee, contributions to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
