Carroll, Patrick Gerald Pat passed away in the Perth hospital surrounded by the love of family on Wednesday November 20, 2019 in his 81st year. Pat was the beloved husband of Betty Carroll and the cherished father of Ron (Lynne) Carroll of Ottawa, and Paula (Richard) Carroll of Burlington. Patrick was a proud grandfather to Kira and Mackenzie Carroll, Avery and Mackinley Spence, and Jeff, Justin, and Lindsay Backs as well as a great-grandfather to Shyann, Matthew, Emily, Brooklyn & Brycen Backs, and Peyton, Owen & Nathan Simard. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Bridget Carroll, his sister Mary (late Bill) Fitzgerald, and his brothers Francis Carroll and Ken Carroll. Pat will be sadly missed by his brother Joe (late Liz) Carroll, sister Ann (Doug) Vaughan and sister-in-law Claudette.. Pat will be forever remembered for his sense of commitment to others and involvement over the years with the Knights of Columbus (past Grand Knight), St. John's Catholic Church Parish council, Redhorse Hunt Club, Keenagers, Community dinners, and other local groups. Pat cherished his family and countless people were fortunate to have called him their friend. We will honour Pat and his life, with a visitation to take place on Sunday, November 24th, 2019 at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W, Perth from 12 noon - 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Church, Perth on Monday, November 25th at 11 am. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Perth. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Home Support Lanark County (CHSLC) or the Great War Memorial Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) would be greatly appreciated.
