Beloved husband of Mary Eileen (Condie) Porter. Loved father of Douglas (Nancy) Porter of Charleston, South Carolina, Dianne (Peter) Hanson of Kanata and John Porter of Ottawa. Dear grandfather of Sarah (Patrick) Dunnigan, Adam (Laura) Hanson, Trevor (Benjapon) Porter, Joshua Porter and Rebekah (Dennis) Osorio. Brother of Joyce Wright of Kitchener, Rita Helstrom of Fort Erie and Frances Williams of Hamilton. Predeceased by his parents James E. and Julia S. (Phillips) Porter and by his baby brother Norman Porter. Also survived by brother-in-law Sidney Morris of Milton. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls, on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery.
