Obituary of William Crofts

CROFTS William (Billy) James Paul William James Paul Crofts, 39, formerly of Brockville, Ontario and Naples, Florida passed away peacefully with family at his bedside October 27, 2011 in Toronto Ontario. Billy was born February 28, 1972 in Arnprior Ontario, Canada. He grew up in Brockville, Ontario until the age of 9 when the family moved to Naples, Florida. He graduated from Naples High School in 1989, where he lettered in both Golf and Basketball. After High School, Bill returned to Canada where he attended Western University in London, Ontario on an academic scholarship. Billy was greatly loved by all who knew him and family was very important to him. He is survived by his mother and step father Patricia Headlam (Pilon) and Percy Headlam of Smiths Falls, Ontario, his father Bill Crofts of Haliburton, Ontario, his grandmother Cecile Pilon (Levac) of Ottawa, Ontario, his brother Michael Crofts of Ottawa, Ontario. He is also survived by his nephew Cameron Crofts and niece Katelyn Crofts of Gainesville, Florida. Billy has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in various Provinces and States that also survive him, however, Billy was particularly very close to his Aunt Yvonne Fitzsimmons (Pilon) and cousins Nicole Dixon and Tammy Mainville (Dixon). He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Vincent Pilon and Bill Crofts; and grandmother Beatrice Crofts; and his uncles Alex Fitzsimmons and Paul Crofts. His entire extended family and friends will miss his smile, laugh, warm heart and kindness. Sincere appreciation is extended to the dedicated health care professionals at Saint Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario especially the ICU and Palliative care team, the caring and knowledgeable doctors and nurses are a credit to their profession. A celebration of Billy’s life will be at held St. Francis de Sales Parish, 43 Russell Street East, Smiths Falls, Ontario at 10:30 am, November 12, 2011 with reception immediately following the service.
