Campbell, Edwin John (May 27, 1917 - November 17, 2011) Peacefully, in hospital, Smiths Falls surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 18, 2011 Edwin J. Campbell at the age of 94. Beloved husband for 66 years of the late Evelyn (Currie) Campbell. Much loved and respected father of Inez (Gib) Johnston, Faye (Craig) Mussell, Jean (Wendell) Kinch, Zelda (Glen) Thomas, Verna (Doug) Miller, Wayne (Janice), Ian (Kim), Linda (Paul) McKenna and loved father-in-law of Gwen Campbell. Predeceased by son Malcolm Campbell. Sadly missed by 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Brother of Malcolm Campbell of Wilkesport, Peggy Baldwin of Montreal, and Joan Donnelley of Cortwright. Predeceased by brothers Donald, Sandy, Frazier and sisters Mabel MacTavish and Betty White. Survived by dear brother and sisters-in-law Allan (Irene) Currie and Norah Currie. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St. N., Smiths Falls, on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Franktown on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Due to limited seating, the Family would invite extended family and friends who are attending the funeral to go directly to the adjacent carriage houses and dress warmly as overflow areas outside the church are not heated. Interment will take place at the Franktown Public Cemetery followed by a reception at the Civitan Hall in Smiths Falls. In remembrance, contributions to the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation or St. James Anglican Church, Franktown would be appreciated.
