Robert, Art, Norma Jean, Joanne and Sharon, only last evening I spoke to my mom and she told me she had just talked to Joanne and Marjorie and had an update on all things Prichard. She related to me that your mom had been ill but everyone was together etc. I was sad when she called back this morning to tell me of Marjorie's passing. After I hung up so many wonderful, childhood memories came back - of happy times with your family and mine at Uncle Norman's cottage, an idylic time for Jimmy and I. Your mom was always so kind - I remember her sitting in the cottage kitchen area smiling and chatting with my mom and dad and so proud and loving - even when we were all 'in it' up to our eyebrows for some adventure gone wrong. I wanted Robin to meet Aunty Bunty and brought him to Smith Falls many years ago, Margorie popped in and again I remember her smile and thoughtful gift of Hersheys chocolate for him.
I can't be there to hug you but please know I am doing so in my heart - you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to all of you
Heather Nicolson-Morrison

Dear Robert, Art, Norma Jean, Joanne and Sharon:
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. She was truly blessed to be surrounded by the love of you and your growing families. I am sure you must know how proud she was of each one of you and the success you made of your lives. In our telephone talks, she would tell me of your achievements, your plans, your visits, your travels – every little event gave her life much meaning and content. Mind you, she didn’t hesitate to boast about her ability to do summersaults in Joanne and Darub’s pool last Christmas! We often chuckled about the past and the experiences we shared we shared at Rideau Lake – her memory was sharp!
I regret that I can’t be with you at this time. Jim, Peg, Heather, Robin, Kirsten and Brad hoped they could attend but it is unlikely as things now stand. I also spoke with Sherry who was saddened to hear the news. Perhaps we can be with you in the spring.
With love from Doris and all the Nicolsons.

Dear Norma Jean & Family, I was very sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. The Montgomery girls and I would always stop by to say hello when we were in the old neighbourhood together. She enjoyed the visit. I wish that I had known. It would have been so nice to see you and your family again. Sincerely Deborah.

To all of the Pritchard Family,
I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Debbie (White) Beckett called me this morning to tell me that she had only found out about Marjorie's death and was saddened that she didn't have a chance to go to the funeral. We both would have liked to attend if only we had known sooner. I remember just two summers ago when Debbie and I were taking a stroll through our old neighbourhood and I suggested we stop by the house to see if your mom was home. I was surprised (as was she) when she opened the door and remembered both of us. We had a nice visit with her. I'm glad now that we made that stop. I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to each of you. Your mom will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a wonderful person!
Blessing and Love,
Kathy (Montgomery) Holliday

Dear La Familia Pritchard,
I don't think there was ever a time when I didn't stop by 29 Churchill Crescent to see Marjorie. She always had a lot of news to share. In fact, bless her, I think she kept my mother (Sheila Coombs) going for years.
I am so glad that I got to spend New Years Day 2011 with Marjorie and others in the family. It was fun to see her out of her element enjoying her dog, the pool and the hospitality of Joanne and Darab. Her passing seems to me like the end of an era. We are all orphans now.
Love to you all. You have my deepest sympathy. Hope to see you soon.

My sister Kathy (Montgomery) told me of Marjie's passing. I think of the old neighborhood often with vivid memories of all the families on Churchill Crescent. I never knew a stronger woman than your mom. She had a tenacity that moved her through each day coupled with humor and beauty. My blessings to all of you, belated as they are. I know you think of your mom and find signs of her everywhere. She was too much of a presence to ever be forgotten.

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by since the passing of Marjorie. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. I have many fond memories of visiting Marjorie. Everytime I would visit Smiths Falls, one of the first stops was 29 Churchill Crescent. She would keep us up to date with all the family members. Margaret and I will be visiting Smiths Falls in September 2013 and will catch up with the family at that time.
