Cecile Pilon Skillen (Levac) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother, Cecile Pilon Skillen in Ottawa on Monday, January 9, 2012 in her 88th year. Mom will be remembered by her loving children Jack Pilon (Ann), Pat Headlam (Percy), Yvonne Fitzsimmons (the late Alex), Jeannette Holmes (Lester) and Diane McIntosh. She was predeceased by husbands Vincent Pilon in 1978 and Harold Skillen in 2008 as well as her grandson William Crofts, granddaughter Melissa McIntosh and son-in-law Alex Fitzsimmons. Mom is survived by her sister Mrs. Jean Powers and was predeceased by her brothers Henry Levac, Arthur Levac, Omer Levac and Maurice Levac and her sisters Irene Guilbeault and Lucienne Lee as well as her parents Maurice and Yvonne (Carriere) Levac. "Nanny" will be missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and has left many happy memories with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff on the third floor of Laurier Manor in Ottawa for their special care, friendship and dedication to Mom during her stay. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Smiths Falls, on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
