Duford, Jacques "Jack" Passed away peacefully in hospital, Smiths Falls surrounded by family on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the age of 67. Beloved partner and best friend of Paula Burchell. Loving father of Richard (Anne Lang), Robert (Christine Patterson), and Ginger (Don) Flinn. Cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Candice, Steven, Taylor, and Jacob. Jack is survived by his brothers Maurice (Catherine) Duford and Andre (Karen) Duford and his sisters Marie-Anna (Bruneau) Busseau and Helene (Jean) Gosselin. Predeceased by his sisters Cecile Duford and Marie-Laura Bernard. Brother-in-law of Martin Bernard. Jack will be fondly remembered by Paula's family, his extended family and his many friends in the community, as well as in his horse racing circles. Friends may pay their respects at Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at one o'clock. Spring interment will take place at Wolford Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Smiths Falls Community Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.
